The atmosphere, food and service at Bistro 555 are a symphony for your senses with Michael Cutri serving as conductor.
This Cucina Italiana has evolved into one of the area's best restaurant; in little over a month with perfectly executed,
moderately priced Italian bistro fare and a staff that is genuinely happy to serve you,Bistro 555 has all the elements a
restaurant starves for that normally takes years to obtain.

Michael Cutri was born May 5, 1955 (hence the name Bistro 555) in a small town called Giola Tauro in the Southern Coastal region of Italy known as Calabria. He was greatly influenced by the traditions of blending the fresh seafood of the coast with the abundence of fresh herbs and vegetables produced in the mountains.
The traditions of his youth were brought to a higher level after he attended Italy's famed culinary institute. The Viareggio Sailing the high seas of fifteen years as a Maitre d' Hotel with Princes Cruise lines.

Michael landed in Los Angeles eager to share his love of the food he grew up with. He opened his first restaurant, Raffaello, in a south Los Angeles coastaltown called San Pedro.
Michael does not believe in sitting idle with success. When asked why he didn't stop at Raffaello he explained with great passion, "I don't believe in retiring. When you allow your mind to stop creating, then you are just sitting on a rocker waiting to die."
Michael saw a need for a banquet facility in San Pedro and soon thereafter opened Marcello, named for his born son. Both California ventures are still thriving under the direction of Michael's brothers, Tony and Gino.
Due to Michael's history with cruise lines, he was no stranger to South Florida, which seemed destined to be the next point of call. At the heart of Bistro 555 is the exhibition kitchen, which does a great job in creating a lively atmosphere.
The inviting elegance of the dining room extends to the bar and outside patio. All the charm and atmosphere would mean nothing without good food, and the food at Bistro 555 is exceptional.

Each component of every dish is carefully executed, and the extensive menu is full of interesting italian fare that has a decidedly modern sensibility. A particularly memorable appetizer was the Tuna Tartare consisting of a abundant portion of diced Ahi Tuna, served with capers, onion and avocado
and dressed in a delicate citrus Dijon vinaigrette.

If pasta is what you crave the gnocchi was pure heaven with its creamy, pungent Gorgonzola sauce, perfectly balanced by the sweetness in the potato dumpling. if
something higher is in order, there are serveral grilled seafood options on the menu. The bone-in veal is a memorable selection for the carnivorous at heart.
Of course the gourmet pizza is not to be missed and is a big lunchtime draw. Bistro 555 has a widely diverse selection of wines. It is not often you see Opus One offered alongside pizza, but unless it is a special occasion or you can afford such indulgences, the house wines are a terrific accompaniment. Expectations for dessert were running sky high and Bistro 555 managed the perfect happy ending with a traditional Tiramisu powered with a cappuccino.
